Hi, I’m Emily.
My dream of Go Salon started at the first Spa I worked at. There was a women who came in for services periodically for self-care. She later became ill and was not able to leave her home, as she was in hospice care. I started going to her home to give her and her husband services. The feeling that I got when I went into their home once or twice a month for the last four months of her life is something I will never forget. We connected in a way that I felt like family. The love that I felt between them while they were spending time together, away from the medicine and oxygen, the nurses visits, the pain. It was with these two when I felt that this is what I was supposed to be doing.
Fast forward to a few years later, when I became a parent for the first time. Going from working 6-7 days a week to being a stay at home parent, was a huge change. I didn’t have a lot of time for myself and with young children its hard to take time away, especially for self care. I love being a mom, but I also love working in the salon and spa industry.
Having busy lives is not unusual these days, getting sick and being home bound is also not unusual. That does not mean you can’t take care of yourself and feel good about it! With Go Salon I do just that! I bring the salon and spa experience to you, in the comfort of your home or wherever you are.
